Testimonial
I just wanted to tell you what a difference
[our] participation in the Tuesday night NVC classes made
this year. I ended up being one of the people that sort of
has been leading the community through [a] tough time, [and]
the fact that I had the background in NVC made an incredible
difference...
... I just to thank you for creating the foundations
courses where we were able to start being grounded in NVC.
I really hope that there will be another round of the NVC
foundations this coming year. We'll be there again! Thanks,
and I hope that you are having a great summer,

"You did
a mediation with us about 3 weeks ago… I wanted to say it was really
great ...Thank you very, very much, it was extremely helpful. It
was great. [My husband] really felt like he was heard and I felt
I was heard too."
- Married Couple
"Wow! Your communication skills blow my socks
off! If I had asked you four or five months ago there would have
been no issue... Thanks for diffusing what could have been an explosive
problem!" -

"We deeply

us in becoming present to the joy we can create in our relationship."

Things are going really well with me and Mark.
We are able to communicate better when conflict arises.
Thank you both so much for your wisdom, loving support and
guidance!

Working Out Old Issues
Testimonial:
I'm wondering how the two of you are doing? It's been
about 3 months since we did our last session.
Things are going great. We are using the skills we learned
from you every day and are actively living the relationship
both of us want. Thank you again for your help.

Max,
I love knowing that you are there for us if we need you, thanks.
I am happy to say that our communication has greatly improved.
We used to fight every day and yell and get upset. These days
we have happy times and when an issue arises, we talk it out
in reference to our needs. When [my husband] or I do get overly
upset, we take a break and return to the conversation once we cool
down. It's great! I'm also glad to report that we will be getting
married this September 24th! We both had doubts before, and now
we are sure... I'm so thankful that we came to see you.

And by the way, good news,
we are using our 'Max skills' [NVC]...doing "need-based
negotiations" and honoring each other's needs, and it
is working! We are way less conflictual and feeling much softer
towards each other, and have had no big yucky arguments over
these past few wks! And as a result of having needs met, in
turn, [my spouse] has been more flexible and less "controlling"
and I think I've been less "judging"/less withholding
too.

I want to say how much I appreciated the class last night.
It gave me a much deeper understanding of what 'compassionate
consciousness' is all about, and a clearer sense of the profound
implications of NVC concepts. Your own thinking and clarifying
of some of the NVC concepts really resonated with me - it
is so wonderful that you have put the time and thought into
making those concepts more accessible and useful.

Student Review:
I just want to thank you again for the NVC classes that I
took back in 2009 ... I feel like it has completely changed
MY LIFE in a good way! :-)
I keep meaning to thank you. 2010 was really a good year
for me after those classes ... it's so much easier to connect
with people, easier to resolve my own internal conflicts,
and my friends comment on how calm and empathetic I am in
a crisis and they seem to rely on me more often for someone
to talk to. To be honest I haven't been consciously "trying
to use NVC" ... it just affected my perspective in a
very good and peaceful way.

Student Review:
I am grateful for the skills and insights I have developed
through my study and practice of NVC...My Christmas visit
with my parents was the most peaceful, and mutually satisfying
and appreciative one to date and almost entirely free from
the usual agonizing conflict. There were many moments of deep
sharing and understanding and I was able to take none of the
occasional judgmental comments personally. Miraculous. I appreciate
your contribution to my progress...

Sessions
last 1.5. The first session is guaranteed - if either of you
or we aren't completely satisfied that this is the right process
for you, there's no charge.
For most couples,
this process tends to take six sessions. As a result, it's possible
to purchase a pre-paid six-session package that saves $50 off the
cost of each session.
We generally do one mediation in the morning (8-11am) another in
the afternoon (1-5pm) and another in the evening (7-9pm). You can
select any start time in your time slot.
We also have on-site child care available (this makes scheduling
more complex and so must be set up well in advance). We pay 1/2
the fee and you are responsible for the other half (childcare person
gets $30 for one child, $45 for two) .
Contact us for current time slots which
are open.
Other Options:
Besides our
Mt. Airy (NW Philly, PA) office, we are also available to come
to your office or home (there is an extra charge, depending
on travel time).
If either
or both participant(s) are too distant to come to Mt. Airy, we
can do mediations over the phone or on Skype. We prefer
that the first session be in person if at all possible.
Contact
us to schedule an appointment.
